Key Takeaways
- A dynasty trade calculator compares the long-term value of the players and rookie picks on each side of a trade.
- The side with the higher total wins on paper. A small gap means the trade is roughly even.
- League format changes values. Quarterbacks are worth far more in Superflex and 2QB leagues than in 1QB leagues.
- One elite player is usually worth more than two good ones, even when the totals match.
- Values are estimates. Check a second source and your own roster needs before you accept.

Compare Dynasty Trades with Clear Value Analysis
Compare players and rookie picks across common dynasty league formats. Use the calculator as a starting point, then consider your team needs, league settings, scoring format, and personal projections before accepting a trade.
The calculator totals the value on each side and shows the gap between them. A small gap means the deal is close on paper, and a large one shows which side is giving up more. Open the dynasty trade value chart to see the number behind each player.
- Side-by-side totals for both teams
- Players and rookie picks in the same trade
- Superflex, 1QB and PPR formats
- Multi-player packages, not just one-for-one deals

How the Dynasty Trade Calculator Values Players
Every player and pick starts with an estimated base value. The calculator then compares the two sides of a trade. Four things move those values the most:

Position and age
Dynasty value covers future seasons as well as this one. Age affects quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends differently, so a younger player is not automatically worth more than a proven veteran.
League format
Quarterbacks are worth much more in Superflex than in 1QB leagues, and reception scoring shifts the value of pass-catchers. Pick the format that matches your league before you compare.
Elite players versus depth
Several smaller pieces rarely equal one top asset, even when the totals look close. Treat a package of depth players for a star with caution.
Rookie picks
Picks are valued by round and by draft class. See current rookie pick values before you add picks to an offer.

Dynasty Trade Calculator by League Format
The same player can be worth very different amounts from one league to the next. Use the guide that matches yours:

| Format | What changes | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| 1QB | Quarterbacks carry less of the top-end value. | 1QB dynasty trade calculator |
| Superflex | Quarterbacks gain sharply because you can start two. | Superflex dynasty trade calculator |
| 2QB | Starting quarterbacks become scarce and expensive. | 2QB dynasty trade calculator |
| PPR | Receptions lift pass-catching backs, receivers and tight ends. | PPR dynasty trade calculator |
| Startup draft | Pick-for-pick and pick-for-player value before rosters are set. | startup draft trade guide |

Dynasty Trade Terms Explained
These are the terms you will see in the calculator and in trade talks:
- Dynasty league: A fantasy football league where you keep your players from one season to the next, so age and future value matter.
- Superflex: A lineup with a flex spot that can hold a second quarterback, which makes quarterbacks much more valuable.
- 1QB: A league that starts one quarterback, so quarterbacks make up less of the top trade values.
- PPR: Points per reception. Each catch scores a point, which raises the value of pass-catchers.
- TE premium: A scoring setting that gives tight ends extra points per catch, lifting their trade value.
- Rookie pick: A selection in your league’s yearly rookie draft. Picks are traded like players.
- Startup draft: The first draft of a new dynasty league, where every player is available.
- Contender and rebuilder: A contender is trying to win this season and wants proven players. A rebuilder is building for later and wants youth and picks.
Frequently Asked Questions
A dynasty trade calculator, sometimes called a trade analyzer, adds up the long-term value of the players and rookie picks on each side of a trade and shows which side comes out ahead. It is a starting point, not the final decision.
Yes. The calculator on this page is free and you do not need an account. Add players or picks to each side and the comparison appears right away.
The side with the higher total value wins on paper. If the gap is small, treat the trade as even and ask which team needed those players more. The dynasty trade value chart shows the value behind each player.
It depends on where the pick lands and on your league format. Early first-round picks are worth much more than late ones, and more again in Superflex leagues. See current rookie pick values.
Yes. In Superflex you can start a second quarterback, so reliable starters are scarce and their trade value rises sharply. Use the Superflex dynasty trade calculator for those leagues and the 1QB version for one-quarterback leagues.
Usually the team getting the best player wins. You can only start so many players, and a star is harder to replace than depth, so two mid-value players rarely equal one elite one.
If you are competing for a title now, yes. Proven players help you more than picks. If you are rebuilding, keep your picks or add more.
Each one builds its values differently. Some use crowd votes, some use real completed trades, and some use expert rankings. Check two sources before you send an offer. Our methodology explains how ours are built.
They change all year. Injuries, depth-chart news, the NFL draft and rookie hype all move values, so check again right before you send or accept an offer. The dynasty rankings page tracks those shifts.
No. Use it as a second opinion. It does not know your roster, your league’s scoring quirks or how the other manager values players, so the final call is yours.
Each player starts with an estimated base value built from position, age, dynasty demand, long-term opportunity and team situation, with manual review after major news. Our methodology page explains every step.
Yes. Rookie picks sit on the same value scale as players, so you can add picks and players to either side of a trade and compare the totals directly.
Yes. You can choose 1QB, Superflex or 2QB, and Standard, Half PPR or Full PPR scoring. Tight end premium and league sizes from 8 to 16 teams are also available.
Yes. The calculator does not connect to your league, so it works for any platform. Enter the players and picks from your Sleeper, ESPN or Yahoo trade and match your league settings.
It tells the calculator whether you are balanced, competing now, retooling or rebuilding. Your direction changes how useful a trade is, even when the value of both sides looks close.

What the Calculator Does Not Tell You
Values are estimates, not guaranteed prices. The calculator does not predict injuries, depth-chart changes or how a player’s value will move, and it does not know your roster. A rebuilding team and a contender can fairly value the same player differently. Use the result as a starting point, then apply your own read of your league. Our editorial policy explains how we review and correct values, and you can contact us if you spot an error.
